Happy hanukkah

Growing up, we celebrated Hannukah AND Christmas.  As a kid, this meant more of everything– more presents, more treats, more festivities!

As an adult, I realize that the good fortune did not lay in the STUFF that came out of it, but rather, in the experience.  While I was learning about Catholicism and christian ideology, I was also learning about Judaism– it’s ideology and its culture.  We read about the meaning of Christmas and the menorah we lit on Hanukkah.  As I get older, I find deep meaning in this multicultural background as I relate to others and take my place in the world.  I consider myself fortunate to have had a foot in each door.

Happy Hanukkah!

One of the things I love about WeGush is that we embrace diversity and value inclusion.  In that spirit, we honor and celebrate many different holidays.  I’m thrilled to share some of our new Hannukah gushes!  Here are a few of my favorites.  There are ten, all in all– so, plenty to choose from this Hanukkah.  Happy Festival of Lights, everyone!
