Our inaugural post from WeGush Founder & CEO, Martha Huntley:

Is there anything quite like the feeling when someone tells you that you matter? Feeling appreciated has the power to make us beam, inside and out.

Think back when you told someone they made a difference in your life. No doubt it was a memorable experience for both of you. In both giving and receiving, gratitude is powerful. It changes lives and relationships.

Often we can feel gratitude, but we don’t always express it. We are busy and distracted, or we don’t know what to say, or sometimes we can feel vulnerable expressing gratitude.

But, what would our lives and relationships be like if we did express more gratitude to each other? What if we generated more happiness and joy, and a greater sense of belonging and self worth?  What if expressing gratitude brought us closer together by increasing our connectedness?!

At WeGush, our mission is to inspire a world of thanks. We provide fun tech and inspiration to express appreciation often — for group appreciation, and soon on our one to one appreciation iOS app launching June 12 (we are very excited and will share more on that a little later!). We celebrate gratitude in all of its expressions  — on-the-spot spoken thanks, a hug, a toast, a handwritten note, a brief but meaningful text, a group outpouring, or a deep heart-to-heart.

Here on our blog, we will share stories on the power of expressing and receiving gratitude, of giving and loving, connecting, laughter, generosity, simplicity, and more — all the good stuff that gives life its extra special sauce. We want to build a community here with you. Jenny Weiss will lead us on our blog adventure, with posts from the WeGush team, guest bloggers, and from other inspirational sources of gratitude.

If you seek a positive, appreciative community, you are home. Welcome! We are so grateful you are here!
